Breathing

The movie in the link below is the video from an installation in which a large oval space (6'W x 8'L x 6'H) is formed by a white curtain. On both of the longer sides of the oval is projected a video of lungs animated to correspond to the audio of breathing. From a distance, the installation approximates the torso of a breathing body. The viewer can go inside the space and experience the same video from the inside. As the video progresses, the breathing becomes more labored and slower and the brightness dims until after a long exhale, the audio stops and the viewer is left in the dark. (Two minutes.)
