My Mom, My Self, and I

The movie in the link below documents a video installation that was shown in the Midway Show at Mass College of Art in 2002. The viewer enters a dark room. In the center is a pedestal body with video projector head moving back and forth, projecting video against the far wall. The video merges with drawings on the wall, sometimes matching, other times crossing the images. The images are portraits of my mother and my self. The effect is ethereal as the faces cross and re-cross each other. Where does my mother end and my self begin? What have I learned, what has she given, what is she taking?
