Transformed V

I have been photographing dying flowers for several years and, using the computer, transforming them into something alive. In this series, using an extreme close-up lens on my camera, I was able to capture minute sections of dead flowers. I found imagery that feels like body … inside of body, scarred body. I am amazed at the connection, at this micro level, between plants and humans. I print the same image on paper and transparent film and pin the film over the paper, creating an out-of-focus, three-dimensional effect.
