2007: The Aura of the Multiple

Having completed several traditionally carved wood sculptures, I began thinking about making reproductions and turned back to technology. Using a 3D scanner, software and a 3D rapid prototype printer, the sculptures were scanned, modified and the reproductions were printed. As I began making the copies, I became intrigued with the dynamics of the original faced off against the cyber-copy. They seem to challenge and dance around each other, a metaphor for the struggle of the old against the new.
